Benelli Tornado 302 is a fully-faired version of TNT 300 and it may be launched in India as Benelli Tornado 300.
The motorcycle was one of the major attractions of the EICMA 2015.
Design and Style
The Tornado 302 gets an eye catchy design as its fairing looks perfectly planted over the naked sibling. Nothing looks imposed as the side profile gets equally attractive sticker shades. The boomerang curve in the fairing is the most attractive part out of everything on the motorcycle. The fuel tank is chiseled whereas the exhaust gets a smooth one into two output at the end. The USD forks have also been painted in the same color scheme as the motorcycle.
Dimension and Weight
The Tornado 300 for the Indian market measures 2175mm in length, 746mm in width and 1146mm in height. The seat height of the motorcycle remains the same at 790mm, with a fuel tank measuring 14 liters. The bike weighs 180 kg and gets a wheelbase of 1410mm. It comes with a nice ground clearance of 180mm.
Engine and Gearbox
Benelli Tornado 302 uses the same engine as the TNT 300. The 300cc, 2-cylinder motor on the machine produces a max of 36 BHP @ 12,000 rpm and 27 NM @ 9,000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine to the motorcycle is a tried and tested unit, ending the chances of it being rough driven or low at performance.
Brakes and Suspension
The bike uses twin 260 mm floating disc with 4-piston calipers for the front whereas the rear comes with 240 mm single disc with 1-piston floating caliper. The suspension on the front is a 41mm USD forks whereas the rear uses central shock absorber. The front tyre measures 100/70 ZR17 whereas the rear is a 150/60 ZR17.
