About 11 cities in India soon become the victims to the NGT (National Green Tribunal) ban on diesel vehicles with 2000cc and more. The tribunal has ordered to the chief secretaries of eight states to submit the details of air polution in their region. If they failingwhich they would face arrest.

Details such as total number of vehicles plying, population and pollution levels in the worst effected cities. The Central government also told the tribunal not to impose a ban on new diesel vehicles citing the fact that it would tend to hurt the growth of the automobile industry. A bench of the tribunal consisting of Chariman Swatanter Kumar would be hearing the plea on the same.
