Ford Mustang finally launched in India. The Mustang is now in its sixth generation. It will be sold in India as a CBU and retailed through selected Ford dealerships in India. The bookings of Mustang is now opened but the deliveries will take some more time as per availability.
Ford Mustang is a 5.0 litre, Ti-VCT V8 engine is good for 435 hp and 542.3 Nm of torque. The iconic American pony car can achieve 0 to 100 kmph in 4.5 seconds. Power is sent to the rear wheels using a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission that features paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Internationally, a six-speed manual transmission with launch control comes as standard, but unfortunately, we won’t get the purist’s choice here. Other performance oriented features include Brembo brakes with 6-piston front calipers, an Electronic Line-Lock function for smoky (not snaky) burnouts, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and for the first time in Mustang history – an independent suspension set-up at the rear.
The feature list for the Mustang comprises of Ford’s SYNC 3 infotainment system with navigation, automatic climate control, adaptive cruise control, rain sensing wipers and a Shaker Pro Audio hi-fi audio system, while safety features include dual front airbags, side impact airbags, rollover curtain airbags, emergency equipment pack, SOS post crash alert system, TPMS, pedestrian protection, etc. The Mustang will be available in 6 colours – White, Yellow, Red, Silver, Black & Grey.
