Innova Crysta Petrol variants launched. The all new 2.7-litre VVT-i petrol motor which can be had with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Innova Crysta is available in 6 petrol variants and can be booked at all Toyota dealerships in the country.
Safety systems include a minimum of three airbags (maximum seven), height adjustable front seatbelts with pre-tensioner and force limiter, 3-spoint seatbelts for all occupants, ABS+EBD+BA, vehicle stability control and hill start assist.
The engine is the newest and most important addition to the Innova Crysta, so let’s concentrate on that – the 2.7-litre (2694cc), 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated motor is new to India but is not unfamiliar to markets outside. The same motor has been used under the hood of the Hilux, Land Cruiser Prado, Fortuner, Tacoma, Hiace, Coaster and 4Runner depending on the market.
In the Innova Crysta, this motor develops 166PS of maximum power @ 5,200rpm and 245Nm of peak torque @ 4,000rpm. When paired with the 5-speed manual transmission the Innova petrol returns an ARAI-certified mileage of 9.89kmpl, meanwhile the 6-speed automatic transmission equipped Crysta petrol returns 10.83kmpl. A 65-litre fuel-tank gives the MT variants an ideal range of 643km while the AT variants have an ideal range of 704km. Drivers can choose between ‘Eco’ and ‘Power’ drive modes to extract maximum efficiency or performance from the engine as they desire.
The Toyota Innova Crysta is available in three trim levels, powered by a single engine paired either of two transmissions and fitted two seating configurations. Prices of the variants, ex-showroom Delhi, are as follows:
