Kawasaki, The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer has recently planned to decrease the price of ER-6n by Rs.30,000 as a limited offer. Another offer from the manufacturer was that the new coustomers will also get a riding jacket for free.
The limited offer was for clear the stocks before the emission norms implemented in Thailand. Now, knocked down units (CKD) from Thailand was assembled for the ER-6n for India. The motorcycle will cost around Rs.4.48 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) after the reduction in price.The naked street version, the ER-6n, shares the engine and cycle parts of Ninja 650.The ER-6n is powered by a 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected motor producing 71bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 64Nm of torque at 7,000rpm mated to six-speed transmission. The motorcycle is fitted with
41mm telescopic suspension up front and preload adjustable single-shock unit at the rear. It has dual semi-floating, petal disc brakes at the front and single 220mm petal disc brakes at the rear while ABS has been given a miss.
ER-6n measures 2,110mm in length, 770mm in width and 1,110mm height. It features 1,410mm wheelbase and 130mm ground clearance. The ER-6n weighs 204kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 16-litres.
