Honda doubled the production of Navi. After getting the positive responce on the Navi, Honda plans to increase its production to around 1 lakh units.
Honda Navi was shocased at the Delhi Auto-Expo 2016 with a price tag of Rs. 40,000. The Navi was introduced in the Indian market in April 2016.
From the launching time onwards, Honda Navi can be booked from the delerships of Honda and also by the mobile application which launched by Honda. It led to the large number of bookings.
Honda’s Senior Vice-President for sales and marketing, Yadvinder Singh Guleria said, “We have been really surprised by the homologous response to the Navi. It’s really exceeded our expectations. We have, therefore, decided to almost double our capacity to 90,000 to 1 lakh units soon.”
The company plans on selling 2,000 units a month and had an installed capacity of 50,000 per annum. Since, Honda Navi was developed specifically for India, Honda has gained ground in the Indian two-wheeler market, which has now become Honda’s largest market globally, surpassing Indonesia. The company has been shipping the product to Nepal now.
