Volkswagen is ready to launch Volkswagen Polo in 2017. The new Polo comes with multiple petrol and one diesel powertrain options. The sixth-generation Polo will arrive to the market by June 2017. The First arrive willbe in European market and the launching in India will be by 2018. The European-spec model will be produced at Volkswagen’s Landaben plant in Spain.
Ditching the current PQ25 architecture, the 2017 Volkswagen Polo will be based on the VW’s new MQB A0 modular platform. It’s the smallest MQB platform that will also be used for the upcoming Volkswagen’s compact SUV. This could also make the new Polo stiffer and lighter, and help achieve higher performance and fuel efficiency. Volkswagen also aims to improve the interior quality and connectivity levels of the hatchback.
The new Polo is likely to be more robust, lighter and fuel efficient than the current Polo. With all these merits, the 2017 Volkswagen Polo will surely be more expensive than the existing model. The hatchback’s new version could be priced between Rs 6 lakh – Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom).
